Be Aware: “Locky” Ransomware

Lock is a trap! Once you click a spam e-mail that has this newly spotted ransomware, be ready to say goodbye to your privacy. “Locky” ransomware was developed in 2016 disguising as a company invoice. Just like other ransomwares, it will display a message saying that you must pay a certain amount  to get the decryption key that will unlock your files.  Locky is reported to release 4000 new infections per hour and approximately 100,000 infections per day with most of the infections happening in Germany and the Netherlands. So if you don’t have the money to pay these web criminals be sure to keep a backup for everything! Read more. – Mayvilyn Aguilar
