The Reason Why WannaCry Ransomware Attacks Global Computers

WannaCry is a new malware spotted by Malware Hunter Team on May 12, 2017. In just a blink of an eye it affected numerous systems in Europe and Asia. In the UK, a total of 48 health companies were hit by Friday’s cyber-attack; all but six soon went back to normal, according to the Home Secretary Amber Rudd. The cyber-perpetrators are asking for ransom amounting to $300 worth of Bitcoin for its victims to unlock the contents of the computer. 

The attack was first sighted by a staffer in the UK who noticed that the computers in the medical facility are being hacked “one by one” But there is more to this ransomware than meets the eye.
